October 31st - November 14th
PTA’s Annual Fundraiser kicks off on October 31st. We are raising money for our school by encouraging lifelong reading!
Over the next few weeks, we have planned many fun events and prizes for our students (read about those below), all designed to grow their most important superpower - reading!
How To Participate
Participating is easy...

Activate your child’s Read-A-Thon page at the link below. Code will be: 3186201

The class with the most students registered by October 31st gets a Kona Ice Party!

Log minutes read by your student and collect donations by sharing your reader's page with family and friends by email, text, or social media.
Even if you don’t plan to fundraise, students can earn prizes by logging their reading minutes and even for just creating their page & sharing it with family and friends! Create your student’s page ASAP, but no later than October 31st.
Read-A-Thon is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We raise money while encouraging a life long love for reading! Your flat donations support our students while they log their in-home and in-school reading minutes for two weeks. This is such an amazing fundraiser that truly gets our students excited to read!

✭Kona Ice Party 🍧 for the class with the most student pages activated by October 31st!
✭School Wide Reward: Pie the Principal 🥧 if we meet our reading goal of 200,000 reading minutes!
✭Top Reader K-2 & Top Reader 3-5: Principal for the Day 📚
✭Top Fundraiser K-2 & Top Fundraiser 3-5: Lunch with any teacher/staff member and a friend 😎😎😎

1st Place: Ice Cream Sundae Party 🍦
2nd Place: Pizza Party 🍕
3rd Place: Crumbl Cookie Party 🍪
4th Place: Extra Recess!
✭Additional prizes awarded for: Activating your page, sharing your page by email and social media, $15 in donations, $100 in donations, and for 250, 500, and 1000 minutes read!
✭Teachers who enter their in-class reading minutes every day have the chance for Mrs. Finnegan to teach their class for 30 minutes! (One K-2 winner and one 3-5 winner)
Events
✭Tues. October 31st - KICKOFF EVENT:
Parents may join their students on the
hardcourt for a school wide blanket reading and costume parade.

✭Thurs. November 9th: Library Bingo and Scavenger Hunt
Join us from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the IRC Main Library, 1600 21 Street, for book bingo and a special scavenger hunt for Beachland students! There will be prizes for
students who participate. Light refreshments will be served.
✭Fri. November 17th: Pie the Principal
If we meet our reading goal of 200,00 minutes!
