About the Event
Participating Trunk Decorators will need to be parked in the designated area no later than 5:15pm (you can come as early as 4:30pm) in order to find your assigned parking space and allow enough time to decorate your trunk and prepare for the arrival of trick-or-treaters at 6:15p. The parking lot team can help direct you to a spot in the bus loop parking lot located off Mockingbird Drive on the east side of the school. This year’s event is 1 1/2 hours, ending at 7:45pm. For safety reasons, please plan to stay parked and decorated until 7:45pm, breaking down decorations and leaving after that.
Open up and decorate your trunk or the back of your vehicle. There are some great trunk decorating ideas on the internet!! Please refrain from anything overly spooky or gory. Possibilities could include a Halloween theme, sports, a particular decade, comic characters children’s TV or movie characters, or ones that set a scene, like the old west or a campsite and can be as elaborate or simple as you wish.
Because it does not take long to walk in a short loop picking up candy at each trunk, each station could also include a small carnival-type game for kids to play. Games could include ring toss, bowling, shooting a foam basketball, or hopscotch. The games should be short enough and easy enough for young children to play.
Bus Loop is open for trunk decorators only. Cars must be ready by 6:00pm.Beachland Elementary Bus Loop
